Privacy Policy

Effective: 29 September 2026

TL;DR

ARCO has no account and no ads. What you plan — habits, tasks, focus sessions — stays on your devices and your own iCloud. ARCO sends anonymous usage counts (like "finished onboarding" or "has 3–5 habits") so we can see what works; they carry a random ID made by the app and nothing that names you. Your Screen Time data is read by Apple's framework on-device and cannot be exported by the app. We don't sell data.

1. Who runs ARCO

ARCO is an independent iOS app built by Thinh Tran. Contact: thinht7110@gmail.com

2. What data ARCO collects

Everything you enter into the app — habits, tasks, focus sessions, schedules, app block lists — is stored on your iPhone using Apple's SwiftData framework. If iCloud is on, it is also synced through your own private iCloud database (Apple CloudKit) so the ARCO Mac app sees the same data. That database belongs to your Apple ID; we cannot read it. Apple handles it under its own privacy policy.

ARCO collects no personally identifiable information: no email, no name, no phone number, no contacts, no location, and no advertising or vendor device identifiers. The only data that leaves your device for us is the anonymous usage information described in section 6.

3. Screen Time and Family Controls

ARCO uses Apple's Screen Time frameworks (Family Controls + Managed Settings) to power the app blocker. When you grant Screen Time permission, iOS lets ARCO block the specific apps you select. ARCO does not learn which apps you use or what you do in them — it only holds opaque tokens for the apps you picked.

The usage statistics on the Insights screen are rendered on-device by Apple's DeviceActivityReport system, inside a sandbox that prevents the numbers from ever reaching ARCO's own code or any network. ARCO never sees or transmits this data — by Apple's design, not just our promise.

4. Subscriptions and payment

ARCO offers an optional subscription (ARCO Pro). Payment is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store — ARCO never receives your card number, billing address, or any payment details. RevenueCat, a subscription-management service, processes App Store receipts to verify your entitlement; it receives only an anonymous, randomly generated ID. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

5. Notifications

If you grant notification permission, ARCO schedules local notifications (morning plan, habit and task reminders, focus updates). They are created and delivered entirely on your device and never touch a server.

6. Analytics and tracking

ARCO sends a small amount of anonymous usage information so we can tell which parts of the app help people and which don't:

Both are keyed to a random ID the app creates when it is installed. It is not your Apple ID, not the advertising identifier, and not linked to your name, your plans or anything you type — no titles, notes or free text are ever sent. As with any internet request, these services see your IP address when the data arrives; we don't use it to identify you.

ARCO has no advertising and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, so App Tracking Transparency does not apply.

7. Crash reports

ARCO does not collect crash reports. If iOS prompts you to share diagnostics with developers, Apple may include anonymized crash logs under their own privacy policy.

8. Children

ARCO is rated 4+ and is not directed at children under 13. ARCO does not knowingly collect any data from anyone.

9. Your rights

Your plans are on your devices and in your own iCloud, so you control them: deleting the app removes the local data, and you can remove the synced copy in iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage. The anonymous usage information in section 6 can't be tied back to you by us. Deleting the app discards the random ID, so nothing sent afterwards joins what came before. 10. Changes to this policy

Material changes will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. Continued use of ARCO after a change means you accept the updated policy.
